Sympathy to Empathy

Always look within, always decide,

Where does the voice come from, where is my might?

The inner voice teaches kindness as that is its nature,

Help a friend in need, cause everyone does not need to have the same stature.

Sympathy can be disrespectful, empathy means a helping hand,

A hand that does not pity the other, but gives a little push and says, “I know you can!”

In such actions, we will find bonds,

In such actions, we will find others will respond,

In such actions, can the world come together,

In such actions are friendships nurtured forever
