I am in, Are you??

For the first time, and infact after ages, has someone in the seat of power, taken such a bold move. In India, it was impossible to dream of ‘change’. The current Prime Minister has done it and continues to make history which has already started changing the era we are living in.

So we as a part of this nation, has in the process of ushering in a new system of currency which has already hit the black marketer really hard. All unorganized business is already feeling the hit. Corruption is definitely feeling the blow even harder than he would have ever imagined. Actually the beast called corruption has been having a field trip in India forever. Despite our best efforts, we lose track and walk the same path that corruption has shown us.

The introduction of the new currency is a courageous and mammoth move to change the destiny of the Indian economy. So while the PM has done it with great confidence and composure (he has that in abundance), the rest of the nation is giving mixed responses. 

My experience with various social media platforms and smartphone chats has made be come to one conclusion- we love talking about ‘what is new in town today?’ The whole day and probably a week will go by and we will never come to the next point of consideration- ‘the big picture’, so much so that even the various media channels constantly kept digging out people who cry out loud of change.

I would call it collateral damage which is unavoidable in India right now. Looking at the deep abyss we are hanging in, it is tough but not impossible for all of us to work together to make this possibility of change a success. Sitting around and discussing possibilities of it busting out like the IT balloon will not help any of us. The world is eying India and the PM is dead serious about it. So are many young entrepreneurs in India who are hitting headlines all over the world for their innovations and out-of-the- box business ideas.

So lets start with acting sensible and smart. If we have loose change, let’s help our support staff around us with it. This is the time you will really show if you care for your nation and its people. Teach them about exchanging money at nearest nationalized banks. The queues are long, so let’s be patient and let’s teach others around to do so. If we think and talk of the big future gain, we will eventually see merit in this wait. Use your online transaction advantage. Many service providers are now extending their dates for payments and offering huge cashbacks. This is time you make use of it.

Patriotism isn’t dead with the fight of the freedom fighters. Show it now. Make the change really matter and be a part of it. I am in, are you?
